 SAND

Building Sand (bricklayers sand) is a soft fine sand and when mixed with cement and water produces a mortar that can be used for laying blocks and bricks.

Sharp Sand is coarse and is used for mixing concrete and can also be mixed to produce an extremely hard mortar.

Rendering Sand (plasterers sand) is more fine than Sharp sand and produces render when mixed with cement and water.

Cardewmires Sand is a well graded nature of the aggregate which makes it ideal for lime mortars renders and plasters (scratch and float coats only).

Plant Mix (Ballast) is used for the mixing of concrete and is a product of a sand and gravel mix.
